Taste of India has called St. Louis Park home for nearly three decades — one location, one family, and a clay tandoor that hasn't stopped firing since the day we opened.
Founded on a far-away flavor
In 1995, we opened on Wayzata Boulevard to bring the aromas and soul of authentic North Indian cooking to the Twin Cities. One location — because this one has always been worth getting right.
The clay tandoor
At the center of our kitchen sits a traditional clay tandoor — the source of the char on our seekh kabobs, the blister on our naan, and the smoky depth in our chicken tikka. Every dish is built from scratch with raw spices and original sauces.
Thirty years of the same table
Same ownership, same kitchen, many of the same faces — guests tell us they can taste that consistency. City Pages once called our weekend buffet "the perfect introduction to a cuisine best explored by trying a bit of everything."
A menu worth exploring
From rich lamb curries to vibrant vegetarian dishes with a devoted following, our menu spans the full breadth of India's regional cooking. Whether it's the Friday buffet or a quiet weeknight dinner — namaste, you're welcome at our table.
